I typically buy Samsung SSDs because I've always been pleased with the quality of the product. This product has lived up to that expectation.

Using as system drive in a Mac Mini mid 2010 running El Capitan.

The drive was very easy to set up in an external firewire enclosure and use. I'll move it to replace the internal HDD eventually, as I have already done with an EVO 840 on a MacBook, that has worked flawlessly.
Pros: solid reliability and performance.
Cons: no magician software for os x.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This Samsung SSD exceeds my wildest expectations with its blazing fast performance. The Magician software is the crown jewel, though. The Data Migration section made moving all data and my Windows 10 OS to the SSD a breeze. Magician is indeed the appropriate name for this software. Speedy, error free, effortless. Magic! Likewise the Magician Disc Management section. It provides all the options one needs to configure the SSD according to one's specific requirements. I configured mine for "Reliability" rather than "Performance" because this new 30 second computer boot up time is just fine with me!! This ranks up there with my Corvette as one of my all time best buys!
Pros: high performance, superb magician software, exceeded all expections, easy and speedy to set up

Good product, but I bought this product for the rapid feature with the ram. I have always enjoyed most of my electronics from Samsung. This is a good SSD, but if you buy it to enable rapid mode, be aware it would not let me enable it in Windows 10. All of the required things to have to enable rapid mode are detected, except I get the error," Unable to determine operating system". It's not checked green like the other requirements. I have installed two separate versions of the software to enable this to no avail. I just purchased it, and haven't gotten to tech support yet. Samsung has great tech support, so I am sure they will fix this issue for me. I will update my ratings after they have been notified, and a resolution determined. Meanwhile, I just purchased their 34" curvy, gorgeous, fuse with your soul S34E790C monitor, and can't wait until it arrives!
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight, easy to install, just as good as other ssd's.
Cons: Did not meet expectations
