This is an amazing SSD, it changed my laptop from being an avg slow laptop to a world class performer. It's like night and day..... Simply amazing.

Stress Free Hard Drive Change

The ease of use of this product is phenomenal, software installed on old hard drive, new drive connected, old one cloned, old drive removed and new one installed, boot up in seconds, job done in under 40 minutes!

If you are thinking about buying this, just do it. You won't be disappointed.
The only complaint I have is that the accompanying Magician software still doesn't recognize Windows 10, but that is only a problem if you want to enable RAPID mode.
If that isn't a deal breaker, then I fully recommend this drive.
Pros: fast, energy efficient

Nice product, fast but runs at high temperature

I chose Samsung 850EVO (250GB) to upgrade the main hard drive of my Thinkpad T440p for performance. The product is light, fast and economical but runs at high temperature typically at 42C (108F) which is higher than my previous HDDs. This keeps fan running and hence makes the system a bit noisy. The performance for the past 8 months has been good with slight drop in average read speed and increase in access time. The long term performance/durability would require more time.
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: higher operating temperature

Very slow and unresponsive...Pathetic

I replaced my 512GB OCZ drive on mac book pro 2011 with the Samsung EVO 850 1TB. The performance was appalling and the system was unresponsive all the time. I had to put back my old drive. I planning to RMA this SSD and I hope the new one will be better and stand up to the SSD technology.
I must have received a bad disk if I were to believe that other Samsung disks don't have this problem and I just got a bad one.
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
