Have had this two years and seems to work well. Have had no problems. Did complete installation myself and had no issues.

Two months after installation, it is completely dead.

Hello. Thank you for taking the time to write your review on your microwave. We regret any inconvenience you are experiencing and would like to help. First, please try resetting your house circuit breaker that controls the power to your appliance. Be sure to leave the power disconnected for a minute or two before turning it back on, again. This will often reboot the internal circuitry and may resolve the issue.
Also, try plugging another small appliance into your microwave outlet to be sure it has power to it. The outlet is located in the cabinet above where the microwave is mounted.
If your symptoms persist, we encourage you to take advantage of your provided one year warranty and to schedule a service appointment with an authorized GE Appliance technician who can accurately diagnose and repair your appliance. You can schedule an appointment online at:

After just 2.5 years, the touchpad is shot

I have had GE products in my home for years. My major kitchen appliances are 18 years old except for this microwave which was a replacement for the previous one that lastest 16 years. This model broke over a month ago and after 3 repair attempts it will cost more to repair than we paid for it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
