Great microwave but the doorv does not align

Really like this microwave but the door does not line up with the frame. It's a little off just enough to look bad. Function wise it' great. we love it

Good, but not my favorite GE microwave to-date!

The features are all there and the interior size is quite accommodating, but the layout of the keypad leaves me stumped as to WHY the most used entry keys aren't put in a more logical order. The 'start' key is the one pushed most of the time, and it is not in a location that makes it easy too find without reading the key names.I think having the Power Level, Start, Cook Time, and Cancel buttons in a group with the 'add 30 seconds button would be so much easier. They are needed to operate the oven. Keep the Set Clock, Help, Sound buttons in a separate group of 'not required to operate the oven each time'. And the word 'Cancel' could be in the color RED while the Start word could be GREEN, which would really make it easy to find GO and STOP without reading. These younger designers may not realize that neatness is one thing, but being able to find the key we need to use is critical. I absolutely hate having to read through the illogical key layout to find the right key to push.
It is a good microwave, but I wouldn't recommend it to any of my contemporaries - just much younger people, because the key layout is so frustrating to use.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Thermostat went bad after 1 year

Have had this microwave just over a year and it stopped working. Troubleshot it to find a bad thermostat. Luckily able to order the new part and fix the problem but shouldn't have problems with 1 year old appliances...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Doesn’t fit right

I order them s online and kept it in the box for a few months because the old unit started working again. When I installed it the outer metal shell that is used to pull the unit right against the cabine, the outer shell just buckled and bent out of shape. This is caused because the steel shell was designed to be too thin and week to not deform when tightened from above. GE should hav us d a stiffener plate to keep its shape or go back to the heavier steel material they used before. Lighter is not always better.

Defective or Poor Design???

Our microwave handle should not be peeling away.
We are so disappointed with the quality, and is clearly a poor design or defective.

Great Microwave!!

Just installed this. Not really a microwave family, but the My Plate option, and steam option are REALLY cool. Very well made, and really looks nice in our kitchen.
