Solid Microwave at a good price

We bought this microwave last month after our Cafe series microwave control panel gave out, as so many have done. This Profile has less fancy features, but seems more reliable. We'll see.

Replaced older Profile microwave with this model. Most notable improvement is easier management of the timer function. Most notable disappointment is the dimness of the display - we cannot see the clock if there is any glare on the panel.

Clock hard to see. pad went dark and took me sometime to get it unlocked

Microwave came without interior light

I bought the microwave a week before I left the country, and after it was installed ( i have a very difficult setup for over the range microwave) I noticed there was no light inside. Checked the manual and said that it should have an halogen light. So now when I get back I will have to pay again to remove the microwave to install the light ( GE sent a person , but he could not install it, I had to have my brother in law to open the house, since I'm out of the country).

Simple but does the job.

Decided against the convection/microwave as I had one before and it never microwaved right. So chose this model. (On delivery had an issue with something getting caught in the fan and it burned up. GE was great-replaced right away. Very impressed with the service.) Love all the short cut buttons. Definitely does the job.

Although I do not like the GE dishwasher that came in our appliance package, I really do like the microwave.
