New setup

So far, it has not downloaded the software properly. It is missing files. So I turned off all fire walls and Norton. Going to try again.

Inconsistent behavior is very frustrating

This is my second Epson flatbed scanner. The first worked reliably for many years. This one is another story. I am using it mainly to scan and archive hundreds of photos. The image quality, when it can recognize the photo, is great.
The main problem with this scanner is that it does not consistently find photos. Sometimes I can put 3 photos on it and it will find and scan them as 3 separate images. Often, however, it will combine two of them into one image, and the longer I use it the less it is able to find individual photos. Eventually it can't even find a single photo, and instead scans the entire bed area.
Sometimes turning off the scanner and closing the app, and then restarting them both, will fix the problem for a while. Sometimes I have to reboot the PC as well. Eventually, after scanning 20 or so photos, it starts to act up again.
I regret buying this scanner.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My husband got this for me so I could scan my family photos. I've only used it a couple of times so far but it works great. It has more features than I actually wanted but it will be nice once I get time to get to know it.

It is a wonderful scanner

I purchased this scanner years ago, but did not install it until I had Windows 10 on my computer. The drivers for Windows 10 were not included on the disc that came for set up, but I downloaded them and it installed wonderfully well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

So far scanned 200 of 4x6 photos at 2400 and it did well except for color restore that was not great. easy to use speed for 4X6 at 2400 was 2-3 Min. not bad for pictuires you want to keep on jpg. if you need faster just reduce quality

I bought this mainly to scan old photos and it does a pretty nice job. I especially like the fact that you can put a number of photos on the glass at one time. And, the images are pretty darned good. On the other hand, the software is not working well on Windows 10. It stops and gives me error messages. It can be a bit frustrating. I have to reboot the scanner every so often or close the software and reopen it. So, it's not as great as I had hoped. I've only had it a short while - a couple of weeks, so I hope to become better at using some of the features.
