GREAT PRODUCT I use it

Bought my 1st Epson scanner in 1999 and refuse to use any other brand of photo scanner. There is so much you can do with it to make sure your end results come out with the highest quality possible. I still learn something new every time I use it. When I purchased this one, I told the sales guy I wanted the best, top of the line scanner hey had. This is the one he handed me.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A great scanner that has a very versatile interface to support beginners or professionals. Purchased to use primarily for scanning negatives. I am not disappointed on the purchase. I wish the negative holders were a little more durable, or they had an option to purchase upgraded holders. The beginner mode is not very good at detecting negative size, medium format's require you to use advanced or manual mode.

I now have 6-months, using this product.
Scanner meets its own specification and advertising promises.
Does fine work. Device software is slow-booting.
Gives you every bit of what you thought you were purchasing...but not one bit more.

Problems when using 2 Epson devices

I bought this a couple of months ago. I have an Epson 4640 connected to the iMAC and when I went to add this device, it would not add all the features unless I removed the printer setup. I tried getting help on line.
It does a manual scan and it the optics are terrific. I would recommend this for any person archiving. The slide and negative adapters are easy to understand and use.
I would recommend this to a friend!
