Very pleased with the scanner

I purchased the scanner to digitize family photos and a variety of family history items. The scanner and software are easy to use and have produced great quality digital images.

I purchaced this to scan family slides dating back to the late 1940's. It did a perfect job on slides, negatives, old photos, and historic documents. It was easy to set up category names and the automatic numbering system made keeping track of the slides easy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very problematic

Lots of problems. Doesn't work as it should. It creates some dark vertical lines on my black and white films. I have tried cleaning calibration area but didn't work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Really excellent results. Previously sent my slides to a professional group with terrible results. Decided to buy the V550 and the results were remarkable.

Great job on old pictures

Love the scanner. Have "revived" lots of old slides and negatives with it. Do wish that there was a place on the scanner to store the guides when they are not being used. However, all in all, very pleased with this purchase.

A large step up from my Epson 350

Image reproduction has a special quality and feeling that emulates from the original. Outstanding sharp crisp image quality with accurate color, tone, temperature, contrast and saturation, one of the best I have seen at any price point. Darker edges on paper artwork scans. Difficulty loading the flimsy plastic carrier with negatives, edges slip out consistently, tedious and time consuming.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Controls on scanner stopped working after 2 weeks and had to use the icons on the desktop.

I purchased this for digitizing 900 slides. I had to uninstall my software for my Epson printer. Once completed I installed the software for the V550. Everything works as it should now including my printer.
I would recommend this to a friend!
