American Gun "The Means and The Machine" first and foremost starts off with a great title for the CD. The musicians blend folk, country, and some rock 'n' roll together for an excellent sound on their second album. (If you haven't checked out their first, "Dark Southern Hearts", you MUST pick it up! The CD starts off with an anthem to the "drunk girl in the back". Trust me, you'll enjoy it. Favorite tracks on the CD are too many to name. "Horses", "Moonshiner", are some stand outs. HOPE YOU ENJOY!

Purchased this album after hearing much buzz surrounding the band. I must say that I was blown away. A well recorded and produced record. There are good songs and a few great songs. If you're like me and enjoy bands such as Drive-By Truckers, Lucero, Bruce Springsteen, Son Volt and Neil Young, this album is highly recommended. Now if I could only get a hold their other records.
What's great about it: Excellent Songs, Good Musicianship
