Removed Stubborn, Set in stains

The allergene cycle removed stains from linens that had set in and failed to be removed by my previous washer after 8 washes. Impressive to say the least!

Best Mother's Day Gift Ever

I love this machine! It is so energy efficient and easy to use, and it has saved me $20/mo. on my water bill. And the large capacity is perfect with 5 kids in the house! ;)

The whites are whiter!

This front load steam washer is incredible. The first thing I said to my husband after washing clothes for a couple of times is "the whites are whiter!" It does a really good job on all clothes and they come out softer as well from the matching dryer. This is my first front loader, my old one was an agitator type. These front loaders are also so quiet compared to older washer/dryers. Really happy we bought the pair.

Easy to use; all items very clean

I replaced a 20 year old top loading machine with this machine and what a treat! I plugged in the machine and ran my first load of wash. Controls are very self-explanatory. All items, from lingerie to comforters, come out very clean. I researched washing machines on-line before I purchased this one and the user reviews were extremely positive. I agree with all of those reviewers who love this machine.

This washer was highly rated by CU and that made a big difference for me. We have it stacked with the matching dryer on top. The unit cleans very well. The steam feature did not seem important, but now that we have used it we really like how it leaves the sheets and underwear super fresh. The wash cycles are long, but that is not a big issue. The spin cycle is so good that the clothes are only damp when you put them in the dryer. I recommend this unit highly.

Love this machine. Looked at top loads and front loads. Bought this one because of LG name and what other people had to say. Cleans so well and not as long as my last front load. Cleaning it is easy, manual was very good although I put more thought into some explanations than I had to. Called the call center and they were very efficient and nice. The only thing I would like is an adjustable level to the song at the end. Can not hear it in other parts of the house, it is in my cellar. But it is pleasant to hear a song instead of a noisy bell.

A concern about the weight.

The washer and dryer appear to work as advertised. Plenty of great features, probably more than needed.
As mentioned by another reviewer, there is a water hammer problem upon initial start-up. Our main concern, however, is that the very old house we recently moved to had the laundry hook-ups on the second floor (probably because there is no available drain in the basement). The previous owners had their front-load washer and dryer there, and they were of a similar size and apparent weight, so after measuring these units, we decided to buy them. Even though the installers carefully leveled the washer and tested it during all cycles (but with no load), we have been worried about the vibration during the spin cycle with full loads. I've adjusted the feet a few times per the instructions, but I would recommend that machines of this weight class should only be installed on lower levels with a strong concrete floor. This is mentioned in the owner manual, so I can't complain--its just VERY VERY heavy compared to other washing machines and potential buyers should take this into consideration.
