Excellent one stop solution for PC and Macs

I have used Webroot for the last 6 years On my Windows server, Mac book pro, IMac, IPad and iPhone. I first discovered the product on a US tech review site and was intrigued by its performance ad especially the tiny footprint, particularly important for me running boot camp on a MBP. As a bonus I found it easy to use, a true set and forget product. The interface is clean, uncluttered and logical making it easy to navigate, set up the parameters and monitor performance. It really came into its own when few years ago my unknowingly daughter downloaded malware embedded in Christmas colouring templates. I tried a variety of software tools including the heavily promoted Mac malware, which proved useless. Luckily this occurred at the time when Webroot had extended the product to include Apple OS, I downloaded Webroot, ran a complete scan and within 15 mins had identified, quarrenteened and removed. I keep a close watch on security software what I particularly admire about Webroot is lpetformance consistency , as a small business owner with an interest in IT I would thoughally recommend this product as I have done to many friends and business colleagues.As a added bonus the price is good especially for 5 devices.

I dropped my review from 5 star to 4 stars as the CD did not work again. I remove the expired version from the computer and installed the new version. The old version ads and warning still keep appearing . Final got it to work.
CD year 1 booted and ran as it should Year 2/3 did not boot- download worked

Way Better Than McAfee!

As a former Network Architect and Sr Sales Executive who sold and used other products on a daily basis, Webroot is by far the most comprehensive product on the market. I am now a practicing Realtor and security of information is paramount. I have Webroot on my devices and my assistant’s and couldn’t be happier with it.

As an active user of the internet, I have used a lot of different antivirus/firewall software. All of them were resource hogs, had a pretty but useless UI, and tried to control everything I did on my PC and browser. Not so with Webroot. Uses slightly more memory than I expected (my dying PC had 3 "just" 4g of memory), it still uses far, far less than any other. It sits there quietly, doing its thing. And that's what I wanted. It wasn't designed to be idiot-proof yet doesn't require an IT degree to figure out. And that's what I wanted, too.
