I recently renewed my Webroot subscription because Webroot has successfully protected my personal computers for several years without failure. It runs behind the scenes and doesn't affect my any of my computer's performance. It's very user friendly. Scans are quick and easy, as is the optimization tool.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We are happy to hear you had a great experience with our internet security software. On behalf of the entire Webroot team, thank you!
I cannot remove the renew subscription notice from the Webroot screen when I pull up the app, even though it indicates over 300 days remaining. I this persists I will not renew in the future.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Alerting Surprise

Have had Webroot's service for more than 3 years. Was installed by the Geek Squad when my computer was in for service/cleaning. Just last week I received a notice my computer was 95% infected. Notice said to call technical support at Microsoft now. They took remote control of my computer to fix the problem and showed me that over the years I had been infected by a malware known as Koobface and then they showed me that I had 2,027 virus and error messages. They cleaned everything up and installed a firewall for me with guarantee of lifetime security and lifetime technical support. My question is: why didn't Webroot keep this from happening? Therefore, I've wasted money all these years, and am canceling my service today.

If you feel that your PC has been infected with a virus that is not being detected we recommend that you open a support ticket at https://www.webrootanywhere.com/servicewelcome.asp so one of our threat research specialists can investigate and make sure that everything is set up correctly. We offer free virus removal for all of our customers, as well as rollback and remediation to revert any unwanted changes made by malware, so if anything is amiss our team will help you resolve the issue shortly.

webroot failed to protect my computer because my firewall was turned off.mirosoft had to shut down my desktop because of a virus and they were afraid it might get into their system.

Sounds like you spoke to a tech support scammer as they often imitate Microsoft and use phrasing like you're describing. I highly recommend you work with our support team (at no cost) so we can insure you're taken care of.
