Not working very well

I’ve had a few problems with malware and viruses within the last couple months and am disappointed Webroot isn’t catching them. I guess I’ll be looking for different protection that is more effective.

At the end of the day I only needed one update/license and had to pay for three based on the way their website is set-up for renewals.

Forcing the User to Read their Popups
on June 15, 2018
Posted by: Keffer
I have loved and a user of Webroot for many years and am sadden our relationship is coming to an end. They now have popups on Windows 10, thank goodness it's not on their Android version (yet)! These popups are what they deem the user should read. With Newsletters sent via email, a user has the ability to unsubscribe (if a known source) or send to spam (if unknown). Webroot does not give a user the choice to turn off their popups, even it is once or twice a month. We are all very busy now and yes it's a simple as clicking an "x" to remove it. But, I presume those of us with a busy schedule do not want to add one more click to their day, month, or year. Who wants popups? It's like malware except you pay for it and either have a choice of staying or uninstalling and leaving. It's the latter for me. I will not pay for malware. It will be interesting to see if Webroot publishes this review.

The Apps to run internet security on Android phones consumes to much battery life to operate.

Disappointment

Webroot you know the OLD Webroot ws much better and more customer orientied. It took a lot of crawling through the website to figure out that the only way to download a new cop of the software was to do so from the Secure website ,,,,,, The problem is the only way to know that the website exists is to call customer service. All of the online materials just take you through a loop and provide no useful information. I really wanted to solve the problem myself using the online helps ...... but no chance ....... just frustration and wasted time.......

The app is still draining my phone battery, and this is with a new phone. They said they fixed the problem, it is not fixed.

Robs your cell phone's battery life

My subscription ends in March 2020. It does fine on my computer, but it suck the life out of the battery on my cell phone. I had to remove it from my phone. I was charging my phone 2 times a day even if I wasn't using it. After many complaints from customers, they still didn't do anything about it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with battery drain on your phone. I want you to know that this should definitely not be the case! I have Webroot on my personal phone and I see very little battery drain from this app (Instagram uses far more!)
Please contact our support team and see if we can help you out with this. They can be reached here: https://www.webroot.com/us/en/support/home-contact

Somehow webroot got on my Windows 10 laptop. It's not compatible. It has WRSA.exe stored ion my program files. I can't delete it. Neither can Microsoft with remote access. It's like the worse virus I've ever had!

I'm sorry to hear you've had difficulties with Webroot. It likely came pre-installed on your laptop if you bought it from a retailer like Best Buy. Please contact our support team to get it removed if that's what you prefer: https://www.webroot.com/us/en/support/home-contact
