Worst phone I ever bought
on July 10, 2014

This has got to be the worst phone ever. My screen will randomly freeze up or have a delay, and I can hardly use the touchscreen at all while it is charging. Right now, it's not downloading any apps at all, and I am NOT happy. Oh, and the alarm clock stopped working suddenly. I got this phone because of the cool features, but all the other bugs don't make it worth it.

Pretty good device, best value overall

The good: Great reception, very good battery life, good customization options. Android 4.2 which still allows the good, safe, fully featured, easy to use version of Google Maps and Navigation (6.14.3). Screen is easy to see outside and more efficient than SAMOLED displays. It's fast. The camera quality and performance is amazing and hands down better than all other currently available devices, except in low light. The stock keyboard is excellent, I *almost* did not switch to SwiftKey.
The average: Build quality (it's meh), voice quality (Verizon's voice quality is mediocre), screen quality indoors (poor viewing angles compared to SAMOLED displays, poor black levels {there is no black, only graphite grey,} pink tint, mediocre auto-brightness), Knock Knock isn't consistent. GPS reception is not great, it struggles indoors.
The bad: Case selection is virtually nil because this is a slightly differently shaped device than every other LG G2 in the entire world. The black back shows every fingerprint, including the one from the first time you touch it. I hate the on-screen buttons, there is room for them below the screen, they should be capacitive, and below the screen...as they are, you are at a 4.9" screen except when you get lucky and they decide to disappear for a full screen video. The camera is EXTREMELY SLOW to focus in low light situations, takes 5 seconds to capture an image of people, twice as long as my previous phone --- aka, worthless as a bar and club snapshot camera. The worst ringtone and notification sound selection of any device that has ever been produced on this earth. Not kidding.
TL;DR: Overall, it's pretty darn good. I can only Note a 3rd generation device that hands down beats this one overall...pun intended...but it costs 3 C-notes, or at least 2 and a half, this one was free.
Pros: Performance, Features/Settings

The best choice among industry leaders

The LG G2 is my first smartphone. I did a lot of research and waited a long time to get into a data plan. After toying with a friend's S4, I knew an i5 just was no longer a competitor. Then came along this G2 which was bigger, faster, brighter, and cheaper than the S4! OMG, I couldn't be happier! I take a lot more pictures, texts and messages are so easy with such a big screen. The batter lasts for days for me. My latest experiment has been Tap to Pay and Wireless charging, all using NFC feature, which most phone don't have yet. My friends are all looking at me, saying "wow, you really have the best phone out of all of us!"
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings, near field comm, tap to pay, wireless charging, features without unlocking

I love the capabilities of this phone, don't get me wrong but I've had two G2 screens crack in the lower left corner and become completely inoperable twice now. ONLY PURCHASE IF YOU PLAN ON USING AN OTTERBOX STYLE CASE!!!!!!!!!
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use

Awsome processor brilliant screen
on November 17, 2013

I reluctantly upgraded my droid x, nothing against LG or the phone. The learning curve from the droid x to the G2 was really non existent. The first thing I noticed from the start besides the brilliant screen was the speed of the processor awesome comes to mind. The placement of the power button was a stroke of genius in my opinion, I often hate grabbing my wife's RAZR M ( a nice phone) and hitting a key I did not want to press an inconvenience in the least. The one thing about having a screen from side to side is occasionally you will change the screen inadvertently a minor inconvenience, but for size purposes a trade off. Google maps can be a bit slow on the directions even to the point of being past the turn or not saying the turn at all, here again minor it's not like I use nav 24/7 , One thing that does bother me is voice recognition. I do not have an accent and annunciate well but the software has a hard time with the word mobile. In example call so and so which location home or mobile calling home not even close now this is with an Icon blue tooth paired with the phone it could be in the earpiece more experimentation is in order. All in all though I am quite happy with the phone. One more thing it is a fingerprint magnet especially the back think about touching it and a fingerprint shows up, also not a plethora of cases to choose from for the G2 as of late but that's an aftermarket issue.
All said I really like this phone, now the more telling story longevity and updates as I tend to hold on to a phone for a long time, Nice phone LG.
Pros: Performance
I would recommend this to a friend!
