I love the size of this phone, as I no longer have to strain to see like I did on iPhone. I wish the Off Button were not on the side, but rather on the top because I continually turn off the screen when I don't want to. It also feels sluggish right out of the box with certain functions like making a phone call, or switching between apps - it almost seems confused. Overall, I enjoy the phone. If you understand basic phone hardware, then by reading the specs you'll know it is just average along with its performance. I would recommend it for business users like myself, or until a large iPhone comes out. I last used Android back when they were on version 2.4, so the improvements since then have been great and this phone takes full advantage of them.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight, battery life
I do love my mega with some reservations. Pro: size and viewability are great. Con: WHY oh WHY does this phone decide on its own to change the home page. I set it up with particular apps I wanted on my home page to have it change to another for no reason. AN-----D There is no instruction on how to change it. WHY WHY WHY!!!!!. Positioning of the 2 buttons can be frustrating. I go to pick it up to have the volume shut off. Why is there no volume lock or disable setting ? Frustrating. Also when speaking on the phone apps launch due to having it near my ear. Have since gone to using speaker mode a lot. Next will be a blue tooth device. I still like it but engineers should relook at the overall button settings design
Cons: bad button positioning, no volume locking setting
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have owned this phone for quite some time now and I must admit, the size is the only thing that's keeping me from changing phones. The performance in very weak compared to other phones in Samsung's line up. It takes forever to open apps and return to the home screen; even the keyboard open slowly. Last but not least if you drop it, be prepared to buy another one or send it in for repair, this phone is not durable at all. Treat it like glass.
Cons: Poor quality, Not high def, Did not meet expectations, slow
I would recommend this to a friend!

I always want to step up from my galaxies 2 to the Galaxy Mega. I'm certainly enjoying the change. Having my Samsung Mega for such short period I;ve learn to explore in wider range.I think if the Samsung is slimmer as a future user i would use it.
I really was pleased with the galaxy mega. Sometimes or many times stats on paper mean nothing to real world experience. I wasn't expecting much with a dual core device, but I was surprised. I compared it to another quad core device and it kept up and some tests surpassed my expectations. The mega gets the rap of a midrange phone, but in reality it competes with many of the flagship devices today. Great job Samsung!
