Paint inside peeling

After the one year warranty expired, the paint inside started peeling. I've never seen that before. We replaced a 20 year microwave that still worked because we wanted a stainless steel look. The website says it can't be fixed, the unit needs to be replaced. We will replace it with something from another manufacturer. We will never buy GE again. Very disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worked for 10 months. RIP microwave.

I used this microwave for about 10 months. Only two people in the house who work 50 plus hours a week and go out to eat a lot so this microwave seldomly gets used. Barely ever have to clean it. Decides today to quit on me. This product sucks!!

Worked okay until interior parts melted

We've had the microwave for just under 2 years and have been pretty happy with it, but it came with an interior wire rack held up by plastic pieces, and the other day one of those plastic pieces started sparking while the microwave was on for some reason! Luckily we were there to turn it off quickly, but it left a scorch mark inside where it happened. We have no idea what caused it to happen so we took out the rack and plastic pieces, but we use the rack all the time so we're pretty upset we can't keep using it... I guess we could but we don't want to be nervous every time we run the microwave that it's going to do that again.
