works well but little things are now an issue

have been using my microwave for just over a year now. the microwave itself is working as expected. Recently the under appliance light stopped working. I looked in the manual for replacement and it recommended halogen bulbs. When I removed the bulb, it was not a halogen bulb. In addition but the sockets for the night light bulb and the over the stove bulb (not the inside the microwave bulb) are very loose and as a result, they flick on and off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Stopped working after a year and a half.

I liked the microwave and was disappointed when it failed. I went to a GE recommend service for repair. The repair estimate was about the price of a new one with a year warranty. I chose to buy another GE so the wall mount wouldn't have to be changed and the top cabnet holes would already be there. I was surprised that both holes and wall mount were now different. I hope the new GE microwave last longer than the last one.

I have only had this microwave for 1.5 years and out of the blue today it stopped working. No noise no warning just quit. Its not the plug either i checked that.

I've had this microwave for over 5 years with no complaints. I started noticing 6 months ago food wasn't heating up properly. Now it's usable but takes double or triple the time it should for heating or cooking. I kinda think appliances should last more than 5 years. What do you think?
