the lighting should be up near the front like our last ge microvave this is a poor design.

We bought this appliance to upgrade to stainless before a sale. We bought for the price and the finish. We previously had a 15 year old GE Profile and were very happy with it. This one seems to have all the same features and is great. However, we have had one slight issue with the fan turning on automatically when the door does not shut hard enough. All it takes to turn off is to push on the door. It appears others have had this issue, though it is not rampant. We may ask for a replacement if it persists.

Slightly too big for opening

I bought this to replace the same model. The hinges cause it to open slightly wider than the previous model which makes it hard to open as it hits the side of the cabinet. Also I got the stainless steel model and the black trim is more of a dark grey and does not match my other appliances as well

I used the microwave twice and now it won't turn off. Had to contact the place where I purchased it and they are sending a GE repairman. I want a new one not a repaired one. I will never purchase a GE product again

Great microwave. Great look. Great for my new home. I am amazed that there is a metal rack in the microwave. And it has not blown up. Right on.
