So far it is working as expected

Honestly, we bought this microwave to match the range we had picked out. Otherwise I doubt we would have chosen a GE microwave again, due to our previous experience with a GE microwave. However, we just don't attempt to make popcorn in this one, which caused problems with the magnatron in our last one.
So far we are pleased with the microwave. I definitely like that it has an alert to let you know you have not yet taken your food out of the microwave. Once we had a microwave without this feature, and many a time I left a piece of meat that I was defrosting in the microwave. I would discover it when I returned home many hours later and had to throw it out. :-( Now, I will not a buy a microwave unless it has this alert feature.
This microwave defrosts and reheats nicely. I actually like the smaller turn table plate. The microwave is quieter than our last microwave which is great!! The exhaust fan is also quieter than our last one.
I had read complaints that people did not feel the light adequately lit up the stove top. I don't find it any different than any of the previous over the range microwaves (GE and Non-GE) we have owned. I am satisfied with the light.
If you purchase this in the stainless steel look, just know it is not true stainless (magnets won't stick to the front). However, at least it cleans up easily. I have a dishwasher that is not true stainless, and it requires way too much work to keep it looking good. This GE microwave non-stainless finish cleans as nicely as my other true stainless appliances.
I could not rate this item on quality, because I haven't had it long enough. My idea of quality would be lasting at least 15 years with no issues. Not sure that will be the case.
So, for now, I am very happy with this purchase. The unit looks great over the range, it cleans up quickly and nicely, and most importantly, it has been meeting our expectations in cooking and reheating. So far a win, win for us. Just hope I can still say this in a few years from now.
