Great performance with our last GE

We bought this 2 weeks ago and are pleased with its appearance and performance. This is our second GE over the range microwave. The first one lasted for over 10 years. We were happy to see that the charcoal filter was included with the microwave.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Quality in general is below my expectations (especially the mounting kit to install it). The operating sound of the microwave was excessively loud. Apparently the round plastic peace below the engine unit was loose. I corrected the vibration inserting a piece of plastic. This problem shows a poor quality control from the manufacturer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Surface lite heats inside of oven, very hot!

I bought this about 2weeks ago. Looks great but when I turned the surface lite on, the inside of the oven became so hot you cannot touch the oven floor in the back. This heated up to 130degrees, it can be used as a warming oven. This seems like a safety issue.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased the microwave to replace an old GE microwave ... just a bit smaller than this one.
Easy to install, great directions, works great.
The extra depth isn't too noticeable; since, it is about 1/4 - 1/2 inch more depth than the old microwave.
