It's OK

I bought this a few weeks ago and functionally it works fine. There are a couple of draw back with this microwave. First, the light underneath is located very far towards the back. This causes most of the light to hit the backsplash area of the stove and doesn't get much to the cooking surface. Maybe if it were mounted higher it would work better, for reference mine is mounted 16 1/2" above the cooking surface. The second, and most annoying, drawback is the fan noise. I have mine vented outside through the top but because of the design the entire inside of top area is open so all the noise comes out through the recirculation vents in the front. To compensate for this I had to remove the top grill on the unit and insulate all 3 compartments up there in order to minimize the noise. With that modification the noise is now acceptable. Overall the unit works as advertised and I'd buy it again, it just would have been nice to know up front how loud it was going to be. I would not recommend this to a friend unless they were willing to insulate theirs as well.

Easy Install

Replaced another GE Microwave (space saver model) which we had for several years. I wanted to use the existing back metal brace and cabinets holes from the previous GE microwave. I found the exact mounting diagram on the GE website.
This made the install of the new microwave very easy.

It is a very quiet microwave compared to our old one. It seems to work well and is easy to operate without reading the instructions. (There are probably a lot of functions and abilities to the microwave that may require instructions to navigate, however for basic use, it is pretty easy to figure out how to use.) I am withholding the last star because we have not had the microwave very long.

Replacement - Great Features

This model met the requirements for features we were looking for in an over the stove microwave. It was a replacement for our other GE over the stove microwave that was installed with our appliance package in our newly built home 8 years ago.
