This microwave performs better than our expectations. The control panel is easy to use, the oven interior is spacious and the unit operates quietly. The exterior is handsome too. This unit replaces another GE microwave that served us well for 29 years!
We installed this unit by carefully following the instructions. Any homeowner who does things for themselves can make the installation but this task should not be attempted by a novice or someone without the necessary tools.
I have two reservations. First, the unit did not come with a full operating manual. We had to order one. Second, the mounting plate was much less substantive that the one holding our old microwave. I am uncomfortable with its flimsiness but I will trust GE engineers.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Light won't turn off after one day of use

The surface light won't turn off after the first day. I guess you get what you pay for. I usually get more expensive appliances, but thought I would give this a try. Oh well. It looks nice and it works, but I'm bummed about the light that will soon burn out
