Just trashed another microwave that never worked. This one is wonderful! My favorite feature-Popcorn in less than 30 seconds.

I purchased a replacement GE microwave. The cooking area is smaller than the previous microwave.
have used it for popcorn and the popcorn setting does not cook all kernels.

Recently bought a new house and selected this model for installation. Works great. No problems. Particularly like the Night Light automatic on-off feature.

Pleased but not trilled

I am generally a fan of GE appliances. This is the 3rd GE over the range microwave I've purchased.
HAPPY ABOUT
1) Easy to install
2) Smart looking appliance
3) Kind of matches my other GE appliances bought over a long period of time.
4) Very quiet operating.
5) Assume it cooks/heats well. I haven't used it enough to find out.
6) Really like the recessed turntable. This is the first microwave I've had with this feature.

NOT HAPPY ABOUT
1) Can't easily see the key pad. White letters against dark gray background do not stand out well. Have to turn on overhead kitchen light or use a flashlight on iPhone to see key pad.
2) Charcoal filter is at the discharge of the vent instead of closer to the intake. This means the inside of the vent duct will gum up with greasy steam over time. Have to use a screwdriver to remove a panel to get to the charcoal filter. Not easily accessed, and the filter housing doesn't seal around the filter well which means that greasy steam will bypass the charcoal filter. Poor design at best.
3) Light over range is center and to the rear. Doesn't really light up the range top well. Previous GE microwaves had two light and did a much better job.

This microwave looks great above the stove and under a half cab-nit. Everything works well and it has additional lighting for the stove.

This is a great microwave with nice cooking options. The panel is hard to read even in the daylight hours and the door handle is a little flimsy and not stainless steel.
I would recommend this to a friend!
