Can't be happier!

After our 10 year old GE died, I researched all makes and models of comparable micowave ovens.
Everyone had detractors and fans. After seeing this model in the store, we decided that it was the closest to our old model and the price was right.
Three months later, we couldn't be happier with our decision.

Great Options!

I purchased to go with the GE Profile Range. This micro is great except for the selection panel is quite dark and unless you have a large kitchen with natural lighting or lighting as in the store, it is difficult to read. My research after purchase is that other models in the store are much brighter. The clock is bright and the selections should be brighter. I use energy efficient bulbs and do not want to add more lighting to accommodate. I would suggest future models to address this as not all of us have HGTV designer kitchens! In retrospect, I might have chosen a different model but wanted the design to go with the range and plan to purchase the dishwasher when I get this paid for!!!! Love the range!!!

Have had this microwave for several months. The light under the microwave is very dim. Tried to buy a brighter bulb and unavailable. The control panel is very difficult to read. Not bright white like my other GE appliances.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

ill-designed keypad

All functions work well and the product looks very nice, but the keypad is quite counter-intuitive. "Express Cook" feature is the default option so you must press "Cook Time" before entering the number of seconds or minutes and seconds desired. I guess I could overlook that inconvenience if the "Cook Time" button were not hidden in the middle of other less-used buttons. Just an ill-designed keypad.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy Installation of my new Microwave

I bought this new microwave a month ago because the other unit burned out. It was an over the stove installation. I was worried that this might be difficult. I had the new oven install in about 30 minutes, most of that time removing from packaging and reading instructions. The microwave is working without problems and it looks great. What more could you ask for.
