First Impression was poor build quality but after I fixed the assembly problem works fine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just got this new oven. Features are great and our initial cooking experience has been good. It's very quiet. I was a bit surprised with the QA quality. The door handle is held on with two screws and two posts that pass through the glass. On one side the post was not aligned with the hole and about 1/2 inch of screw threads where showing. This was very obvious and should have been caught in QA. We took the door apart and fixed the problem ourselves. Now it time to just sit back and enjoy our new oven.

Great product with great features

We just bought this oven to replace the old Kenmore than came with the house. We have always liked and bought GE Profile line and have been happy every time. The oven installation was easy. Just double and triple check to make sure the electric breaker is tripped / off position. Safety is paramount. The oven's Extension Rack is an added bonus; is slides effortlessly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Generates too much heat when off

Had this oven installed in our new home (as an upgrade $$$$) and it cooks and bakes okay. Nothing impressive. The problem I have is that the heat it generates into the kitchen when on & off is unbelievable. After oven is turned off the fan continues to run and blows the oven heat into the kitchen. Living in Florida we don't need any extra heat in the kitchen. It has, at times, made eating in the kitchen uncomfortable - even with the A/C on. Very disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Simple and Effective

This Profile was a replacement for the original standard model and it works so well. I am amazed at the simplicity of operation and the effectiveness of the unit. / My issue is with my GE Refrigerator ... it is the PITS!

Looks great and love the convection cooking

I purchased this wall oven to replace a 20+ year wall oven, and install was straightforward and i installed it under a gas cooktop. I really like the slight curve at middle/top of oven, and it matches well with the GE PEM31SMSS microwave i also installed in a cabinet. So far so good, am glad i went with GE Profile

Single Wall Oven

I purchased this oven along with an Advantium and slate French door refrigerator. I love the oven, especially the rolling rack. I wish they all rolled!! The only negative, and this is a big one for me since I don't see as well as I used to. The display panel is NOT backlit. It is almost impossible to see the letters without turning on a bright light and kneeling down to read each thing. Other than that I love it and I love the "sounds" it makes when cooking time has one minute left, then when time is up.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Disappointing

I purchased this oven based on friends recommendations and a good repair record. So far the door is broken and so is the cooling fan. The oven is one month old. It would be hard to recommend to anyone given our experience.
