Original machine would not work; persistent paper jam. Called Brother to complain. Offered little help. Would not offer replacement. After persistence on my part, Brother "offered" to exchange the machine. The replacement works GREAT!!
Brother than send a "threatening" email about not receiving the original machine which I had returned. I checked with the carrier and found that Brother had received the original machine and I got confirmation. I wanted to reply to Brother's email with the info BUT their email offered NO way for me to contact Brother!! So I dropped the matter but kept all the documentation on this whole matter!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice Investment for the home

The software is simple, yet I like the ability to scan direct to jpeg, or PDF. Very small yet powerful. So many features to list, I had the Neat scanner prior with my business, sold out and left it, But for the home I would take this over the neat any day. The only bad I would say is I was scanning a Hot Pink piece of paper and it smeared it to white, this could have something in the settings, will investigate and update if able to.

Very good and sturdy scanner. The setting up of direct scan to email and ftp site has been difficult and I still have not managed to do it. I scan to my computer and email from there. I would like to set the scanner up so I could scan directly to one or more saved email addresses.

Great Product TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

The scanner is great! The software is easy to customize to your needs and operate. I did have some issue when changing out my router. I went through all of the trouble shooting that was online and in the book, they did not work. Spent 45 min on hold with tech support for them to email me the same information that I had already gone through. I asked the operator on the line if he could give me tech support, after all that's who I called. He said "no, the only thing we can do is send you trouble shooting information." Waist of time! I figured it out myself without the trouble shooting information.

The WORST SCANNER EVER!!

This scanner is a HUGE disappointment. It is far TOO SLOW & has entirely TOO MANY PAPER JAMS. I'll stick with Fijitsu or HP in the future.

OK - But Scanner loses Connection after a few Scan

Hey this scanner works great when it scans very clear sharp scans...but there is a problem. while scanning it will just disconnect from my computer and my computer cant find it anymore. I have 5 other of the same Scanners for my business and they all seem to randomly go offline while scanning.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Instructions for setting up and using files don't seem to exist. Or if they are there difficult to find. Perhaps it is my age but it doesn't seem to be anything like I envisioned.
