Extremely good product

The scanner is ideal for both stationary and on the move printing. I have it hooked up to both a PC and MAC and have no problems with either setup. I utilize Paperport with the PC installation and it works like a dream, whereas I use the native software on the Mac which although it may not be ideal, works wonderfully. The only quarrel that I have with this scanner is that the page guides don't have an overlap to hold the pages in place and as a result, on some occasions, the scan will be skewed, whereas if they put in a couple of pieces of cheap plastic this would be resolved and the scanner would get five stars out of me.

We were looking at a Neat scanner and found the Brother scanner for bookkeeping and keeping up with receipts. Love the Brother very easy to use and lots less expensive than the Neat. Glad I checked out the Brother.

Compared this to the Neat and other similar products. The Brother Image Center by far surpassed my expectations. The cost, setup, software and quality is superior to the competition. Everything is simple and easy to set up and scan. You can customize everything or use what is already set up or a combination of both. Paperport and the viewer software are limitless in organizing ALL YOUR DOCUMENTS. This product allows for you to take previously scanned, saved or imported documents and merge them into new scanned documents. This allows for a complete index that can be searched and printed, uploaded, emailed, filed and stored into the cloud, PC, USB, External drive etc. four drawer file cabinet down to a single drawer of originals.

Meets my Needs

Scans well - just a few paper jams here & there, but probably from not putting the paper in exactly straight. Also has an annoying beep when done scanning that cannot be turned off. Overall, I do like this scanner. It is compact and scans quickly.

I am truly happy with my purchase of the ADS-1500W Scanner. I like all the features and the easy of use and it does not take up a lot of room. It is more than I expected. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a scanner.

Great Little Scanner

I purchased this scanner to replace the scanner used as part of my Brother printer. I love the duplex scanning and the "smart" software that removed blank pages. Several reviews on line and Google Videos complain that the card scanning never worked. I have scanned my credit cards without issue, so perhaps that are using older software.
The small format of the unit makes it easy to keep beside my desk and the scans are sharp and clear.
This unit does everything I had hoped it would and more. I highly recommend this unit to others.
