Brother Lies: No Linux Support

The official product detail states very clearly under Main Features: Windows®, Mac®, and Linux® compatible. This claim is simply not true.
Brother does not offer Linux support for the DSmobile 620 scanner. I just wasted my time purchasing one and will promptly return it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very disappointed

Not using it at all. I was expecting something totally different. The salesman made it show so simple. it's not simple at all and I don't like the way it files. Not organized right for me and I couldn't get it to total for me...the bad thing is my husband threw away the box before I started using it and then I couldn't find my receipt so I'm stuck with the stupid thing. What a waste of money.

Handy for traveling

Traveled all over with this and it worked great as a standalone scanner with my laptop. Downside - using it at home where I have a Brother multifunction print/copy/scan unit, the drivers compete with one another and one or the other never works right until you reload that driver.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Technical Support Did not help

I have not been able to install the BR Receipts Software. I contacted the company for help, but they have not been able to find a solution. The response has been slow! Very disappointed

Ever since I had it, the paper get caught on something and bends down so then it will not go through. So if you have 15 pages to scan and on your 14th page it jams you have to start over.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Handy portable document scanner

I do a lot of ancestry research. This scanner is amazing when it coms to scanning documents. It does not work so great on photographs - but letters, documents, receipts etc - it can't be beat. It sits out of the way on my desk and travels well.
I would recommend this to a friend!
