Great features if they worked

I was very excited about getting this refrigerator.First we had a recall on it along with the refrigerator I freezing everything including eggs etc. We are going on our 2nd repairman call with high hopes tht he can find the problem. I think it would be a great unit if it worked . The bottom freezer is a great idea. I am sure
we will enjoy it once it is fixed or replaced.

Along with two controlled vegetable/fruit trays, there is an additional center tray and a long deli or fresh meat tray. The multiple shelves provide additional options for storage. The freezer space is much larger than I ever anticipated. We do not use that much ice, so the extra ice storage space in the freezer also provides a great space for ice cream.

Disappointing Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Usually love my LG products, but not this one. Within a couple years the compressor died. Upon calling LG was told it was not under warrantee (this was INCORRECT information) paid an outside contractor approx. $600 to fix it.
Now having trouble with the ice maker. It runs sometimes, sometimes not.
No support received from LG
Would not recommend.

Ten Years with out LG Refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought our LG 10 years ago. The refrigerator/freezer was fine for the most part. The ice maker went through spells at times and becomes an issue. Recently our compressor needed to be replaced. Replacement was very expensive and the freezer isn't working like it should. And by the way, the ice maker no longer works I makes ice but it doesn't empty the tray. Another issue is finding repair people is a challenge.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good for the price

I to agree with others, ice maker is to small and also it takes forever to fill up a glass of water yet alone a picture of it. Also water out of the dispencer is not to cold,liquids in the fridg are much colder. Other then these few flaws we love the fridg. Oh yes, it's hard to keep what you call stainless steel clean and magnets do not stick to the doors , they will only stick where ice maker is located in upper left hand corner.

The large vegetable bin could be a little deeper. Not everything fits. The upper tier of bins are very small and lack the room as well. Once you make the shelf adjustments, the function of the refrigerator space works really well with my needs. The french door on the left side, with the additional closure is not something I like. You always have to make sure you close the left side, then the right if you should open both doors. The wide openness that the doors offer really is a great feature. Overall, even the few drawbacks, I am happy with my purchase. The bottom freezer is a nice approach. You can see everything looking into the drawer. There are no obstructed views .
Pros: Style/Design, Quality, stainless steel grade, large space

Issues with Fridge

We purchased our fridge the end of November and the icemaker still does not work. LG has had a company come out to try and fix, but nothing has worked so far. The icemaker will be replaced, but if this doesn't work I'm hoping for a refund or a replacement. Also, I'm not convinced that it is actually stainless steel. I have used 2 different stainless steel cleaners and I'm left with nothing but streaks; could it be aluminum instead? Magnets do not stick either. We have another stainless steel fridge and the cleaners work and magnets stick...I'm convinced that one is actually stainless steel. I love the size of the fridge, but am not pleased that I cannot get it clean.
