Getting adjusted to it

Not thrilled with split door design - everything is behind the other door. The bars under the shelves block milk jugs - this is very annoying. Some of the door shelves are too small due to split door design and icemaker, compounded by the unecessarily large "Glide and Serve drawer. The stainless steel front must be plastic in some areas as only a small area on one door holds fridge magnets. It works well, the left split door sometimes does not close the first time due to its design. Overall it is a good unit, but am still trying to be as happy as I would be with a single door unit. Even the basket freezer still seems awkward, though possibly better than digging at the back of a bottom freezer shelf. Overall, the family loves it.

This is a great refrigerator

Purchased the refrigerator after a long search and this one was a blessing. The smaller version of the model fit into our limited space and filled all of the needs were hoping for plus more. We read product reviews on at least 30 other refrigerators and this greatly influenced our purchase. The positive ratings to this model are accurate and correct. The only minor issue in the reviews we found is that the water comes out slow from the door and it is true BUT the quality of the filtered water outweighs this issue. The water is clean and the ice is great. We love this frig!
One suggestion... When setting the 'feet' of the frig, set the front ones a little higher so the frig leans back just slightly. This helped having to fight the freezer wanting to slide shut as you pick out your selections.

cools very well but not happy with door shelving

Nicest fridge we've ever owned, seems to be well built, doors operate very smoothly, quiet compressor and cools well.
But the RH door shelve bins are very poorly configured IMO.

The RH door has four bins total:
- the top bin has a lid and is good for butter and cheese.
- the two middle bins are the large "Gallon Storage bin" size and can each hold two one-gallon jugs (milk, juice, etc).
-the very bottom bin is shallow for clearance to the main large drawer inside.

The problem is that no matter how you arrange the RH door bins, there is no way to store two gallon jugs in both "Gallon Storage bins".
I can place two 1-gl jugs on one bin but not on both bins.

My wife and I have both tried placing the bins in every possible location up and down the door, but just can't get it to hold four jugs.
She's not happy and after less than two weeks of ownership she wants me to take it back.

The best Refrigerator I've ever owned.

This Refrigerator has met all my needs. It is the best one I've ever owned. It has all the features I could ever ask for. I loved it so much, that I even got my Mother to get one.

Great Refrigerator!

The whole family loves this refrigerator! We found out in January we were moving to NH, so I started doing homework on appliances. I had originally picked a different refrigerator based on size and when we moved found out the space was smaller - back to the research. Found this one and read as many reviews as I could find. Kids wanted water and ice maker in the door, husband wanted stainless steel, I wanted a bottom freezer. The interior capacity is great, we are able to shop for a week and it holds all our food including 4 gallons of milk plus a gallon of juice. Like the adjustable shelves and the shelves on the door. Ice and water work well. The refrigerator stays cold and the food tastes fresh. Have had this about 2 months and am very happy with our purchase.

Could not be happier with the Kitchen Aid Customer Service. Have not experienced this with any other appliance. Although I have not experienced any problems or questions with their product, I appreciate the e-mails I receive with recommendations for proper use of the refrigerator, proper food storage recommendations and optimal maintenance for continued performance.

I have had this fridge for about 8 months and it is great! We were limited by width so there weren't many options for us. LG was one of the few manufacturers that had this width with Ice and water in the door in a French door style. It feels like we have as much room as a 36 inch wide fridge! I would definately buy from LG again.
