An expensive e-reader

I paid $500 for my Galaxy Note 8.0 and was so excited to make this my everyday go to for Gmail, Facebook, shopping, reading and daily alarm.
Reading on this tablet is great with Overdrive, but the apps will not allow you to open any links. So when you go to Facebook to open a video to You Tube is does not work. When you try to open any attachment in Facebook it does not work. When you try to view a page in Gmail that you want to see such as an ad from a retailer you subscribe to it does not work. If a friend emails something for you to see you cannot open it.
I have called support and confirmed that Samsung cannot support the opening of any hyperlinks in their own apps (or Google Play apps). What a disappointment and what a waste of money.
Now I am stuck with this very overpriced e-reader that cannot even hold a candle to my iphone which DOES allow you to view hyperlinks in any app.
I asked tech support if there was any plans to fix this problem and was told no.
Pros: Realistic color, great e-reader, great alarm
Cons: Did not meet expectations, expensive, cannot make use of apps
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Pretty nice tablet for 2013

I got this as an upgrade from my iPad Mini. I much prefer the bigger screen. It's feature packed - plenty to sift through and learn for days upon opening. The TouchWiz interface almost killed it for me as the icons were enormous - it looked like a Fisher Price toy - but after installing a launcher and some tweaking - it's looks like a normal Android tablet again. ;-)
Since I purchased this product I have really enjoyed it, I went back and forth between the 10 inch tablet and this one but this looks pretty portable. So I settled on it. I have plenty of games for my son. The $25 Play store credit came in handy. I just wish it wasn't as pricey
For a year i was planing to buy tablet but some reason i couldn't like most of the table then i heard Samsung will release NOTE 8.0 i decide that i need wait for this. Now i have Note 8.0 it's really cool. You should try.
Pros: Durable, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

I must admit, its pretty. Looks like its another high powered tablet with no video out. one upside is, it will be eligible for the android 5.0 in the future.
