I've had this tablet for some time now and absolutely love it. It is a great size and has everything I need for a person tablet. The feature that sells it for me is the S-pen. I use it all the time for taking notes. Support is good (Android 4.2.2). Long battery life.
I also have the Galaxy Pro 10.1, Tab 7.0, S5 and Gear 2.
I have had a great experience using this device. It is really user friendly. However, I wish the camera was better and had a flash. Also, when using an SD Card for storage it loses the icon on the screen and is only there by name.
Pros: Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Not high def, need a flash for the camera, batter life
I would recommend this to a friend!

I can barely us it without it being connected to the charger, it can be at 100% battery life and within 20 minutes its warning me that I only have 10% battery left. I have nothing running in the background.
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great concept in theory

I have always wanted one of the Galaxy Note products for use taking notes at the office, but could not justify the high cost. When the Galaxy Note 8 was priced right, I immediately bought one.
I was pleased that it immediately upgraded to Android 4.4, but later discovered that this version of Android had a few serious issues with it: The device keeps on indicating that it is overheating (when it is not) and the battery life is terrible. Both these issues are mentioned by several other users, who first noticed this after upgrading to Android 4.4.
As for taking notes, I find that while the stylus is a great concept in theory, in the end I am able to enter notes faster and more accurately with the Google keyboard I installed after purchase.
To be fair, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is not a bad tablet, just not worth the relatively high price.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Did not meet expectations, expensive, battery drains fast, buggy android 4.4
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Battery Life is a little too short. Would like more availability of office compatible items like excel and word document. Picture taking quality is OK, but difficult to hold and shoot in the case.
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: battery life
I would recommend this to a friend!
