I think I have a lemon...

My original post was rejected so I have revised it.
Purchased in July 2012. We use it multiple times per day to prepare meals for my profoundly handicapped son.
In April 2013, I had it in the repair shop because it was overheating and turning itself off. Once it cooled down it started working again. Repair shop said there was too much solder on a connection. They cleaned it off and replaced the thermostat. We did not have access to a microwave for 2 weeks while it was being repaired. A major inconvenience.
May 22, 2013 - When you open the door to the microwave, it turns itself "ON" and contiues to run with the door open. I now have to take it in for the second time to have it repaired.
Am very concerned that it will break down again once we get it back from the repair shop. And with my luck it will probably happen after the warranty runs out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I wanted an LG counter top Microwave, when I was searching for my appliances. Searched around stores for awhile, until i found this bad boy! Looks great. Flows well with the other LG appliances, and man does this cook accurately and perfectly! Love how the inside is rounded instead of the standard edged corners... just easier to cleanup!
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality, rounded inside for easier clean-up!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this item as a replacement for another brand's microwave, which died after less than 1 year of use. I had done some online research and found that LG had good product reviews. When I got to my local electonics store, I found this item and was impressed with the look, features and size.
After a few week using it, I am very happy. The defrost feature is fantastic. It actually defrosts itms without cooking them (unlike my old micro). Love the other cook feature buttons and the overall functionality.
I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a sharp-looking, quality micro with numeous features.

Just bought this microwave and everyone in house likes it. Heats up quickly. big inside. only problem so far is getting use to stop and start buttons being reversed from previous oven.

This was purchased to replace an industrial microwave that finally stopped working. The styling and features AND PRICE were all on-the-mark.
Since putting this in, many people have commented on how easy it is to use and how nice it looks.

Great counter-top microwave

We have really enjoyed the cooking features and appearance of this LG microwave. The reheat function works especially well. The only thing we did not like about it, was the packaging. It was difficult to get the plastic protective wrap off....and after all that, there was a scratch on the top of the unit anyways!!
We had read other reviews that commented about the noise but did not find it to be a problem.

It has everyday features and is very easy to operate. It is very quiet. I really like the feature where it beeps to let me know when cycle is finished and reminds you until you open the door. Power is great. Easy to clean surface.

I have enjoyed using this since i bought it. It does everything I need it to do quickly and accurately. This is the best Micro wave I have ever owned and happily recommend it to everyone.
