[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] just purchased the microwave and I don't believe, you cannot read the keypad in dim light. Absolutely dead read out when there is not light on in the room. Really LG? Why would you even sell this? It will have to go back. A nuisance this big on a new appliance. Don't think so. Didn't expect this from you guys.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice for the price

The only negatives are that it is a bit loud while operating and the keypad is very hard to see without a flashlight. There should be more contrast between the background and the characters. I do like that the timer reminds you when the cook cycle is finished. But If I could read the keypad more easily I would have given it 5 stars.

Door Latch Release Problem

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit 5 months ago and everything was working fine until the microwave door intermittently would not opening when the door release button was pushed. I had to manually pull the door open when pushing the door release button to open the door. The problem became steadily worst. Reported problem to LG who promptly issued credit for new LG microwave unit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, we are very pleased with the microwave. There are a few things I'd do differently, though. The keypad is a bit difficult to read in low light conditions; it would be nice to have it backlit. The "soften" feature for ice cream softens too much at the edges and not enough in the center. But these are small characteristics; the appliance is "good and a half".
