We have now had this dishwasher six months so I feel I can fully review it. So far, we really like it! It is SO QUIET, which is great, because we've downsized so the kitchen is steps away from the living room. It does a good job of cleaning. It's a bit smaller than I expected, but with just two of us, that's fine. I wouldn't recommend this for a bigger family. I'd say the only thing we wish it had was adjustable bottom racks - sometimes I have smaller items and sometimes big ones. (My old dishwasher had this.) It comes with two flatware racks, but we have found the upper one is plenty.

We bought this unit to replace a 7 year old Whirlpool "Quiet Partner" that sounded like a freight train when it was running. We had the TV on maximum just to be able to hear. Multiple seal leaks and non-draining guided us to purchase this new GE dishwasher. I used to work at the plant in KY that built these and appreciate the care and quality that go into them. Plus, you really cannot hear the unit while it is running any cycle.

Excellent with one flaw

We are mostly very happy. The dishwasher is extremely quiet; we can barely hear it running while standing right in front of it. It also cleans dishes well. Our only complaint is the placement of the silverware baskets, mostly the one on the bottom rack. It's right in front of the detergent dispenser, and the directions caution you not to put anything tall in front of the dispenser. But, this is at a vacation rental property, so we can't rely on the renters knowing this. We had to move the bottom dispenser to sit inside the lower rack on one end, reducing our capacity for bowls and dishes. I greatly prefer having a silverware basket like in all my previous GE washers...placed in the bottom rack and with a handle to remove it easily. I'm also not a big fan of the new silverware basket covers, but it seems everyone is doing that now. Not sure why. We always put our silverware in with the handles down, and they always get clean without using the separator cover. As to value, the price was very good. This has a stainless steel interior which was a priority for us (and helps with the quietness). Overall, an attractive and well performing product at a good price.
