Very good, but could be better

The detergent compartment is in the middle of the spoons, ladles rack. If we put a lot of ladles (longer handles than spoons), the detergent compartment gets blocked and the soap does not get used, leaving the soap behind in the compartment and a trail behind in the door, dishes, etc. this is quite annoying and we have to wash off the residue again. Every time we open and close the door, the lights come on and stays sensing for further commands. might be annoying for the first time users. Otherwise this is a very good dishwasher for the price.
our old one broke and the home warranty company replaced this with minimum cost to us.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Overall, worth the money

My very talented daughter-in-law installed this dishwasher. From the beginning the door would not stay closed. The first time it was serviced the repairman closed it and it ran perfectly. Three days later I sat next to it for 3+ hours holding the door shut. Second service call a week later, different service man. Turns out when the dishwasher was packed for shipment, a silverware rack was put on the end of the door instead of inside and that kept the door from closing. I like the 3 sprayer arms, 2 silverware racks (one a little larger than the other) and that it holds more dishes than my old one. Overall, I would buy it again.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Quiet but slow

I bought this because the silverware baskets were not in the space for the dishes. What I didn't think about was the size of the holes that the handles should be put through. They're too small for my pattern! So I have to put the silverware in with the lids up, which sometimes make them stack so they don't always get clean.
It's very quiet when running.
The Cascade packets don't always completely dissolve, and sometimes detergent residue is left on both dished and tableware.
It doesn't dry the dishes, even with the heat feature turned on.

Adjustable Top Shelf

I have owned GE Appliance since 1982 and my old dishwasher finally gave up after 20 years. I am very pleased with this dishwasher as it is so quiet and really cleans. I like the adjustable shelf on top. Only complaint is the utensil bins. Very hard to use.
