Very different from our old dishwasher

It was amazing how different it was in loading our old washer and the new one. That was the only thing that took the most getting used to. Once that was overcome, our new GE dishwasher is a dream to use. Very quite, no thumping noises throughout the house, cleans well, American made and uses less water and electricity. Oh, and it looks lovely in the kitchen with all the other black appliances.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This dishwasher does not dry the dishes adequately. The actual dishes and silverware are dry but the racks in which they sit are not so when emptying the dishwasher everything gets wet and needs to be hand dried before being put in a cabinet. Using the heated dry would likely solve this but that raises the electrical bill.
When the bottom rack is pulled all the way out onto the opened door then pushed back into the dishwasher the back wheels tend to fall into the area between the door and the body of the unit.
When glasses are placed in the upper racks and you move the rack the glasses fall over, either forwards or backwards, depending on which way the rack is moving. It seems that the rack does not provide a srcure resting place at the bottom of the glass such that the smallest movement causes them to fall over.
The silver racks with holes require that forks and spoons be placed handle down so that when they are removed after washing you have to take them out by grabbing the eating surface...you can't take them out by the handle end.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Every dish comes out perfectly clean. Make sure to follow all the loading directions and that your water is the correct temperature. I am very well pleased. We use the delay feature most often and find dishes are perfect

The heated drying still leaves water behind after the drying period. The drawers are flimsy and not of high quality, unable to adequately load as many dishes as I was able to on the unit I previously.

Does fair job cleaning... Had repair in already to check out problem... Much happier other two GE dishwashers we had.

Super quiet!!!

I bought this dishwasher a month ago and love the convertible racks to accommodate large pots. It is also so super quiet that I sometimes don't realize that it's on.
