GE Dishwasher review
on December 8, 2014

Sometimes powered soap is not completely dissolved. We tried the tablets that came with the dishwasher but they never dissolved completely. What to do.....?
Until we find out how to avoid the problem, we cannot recommend it.

Poor Design
on December 26, 2014

The utensil basket holders and racks are located directly in front of the soap dispenser and inlet on the door rendering much of the baskets useless and limiting what I can place on the rack at the location of the inlet and dispensers (no plates, lids, etc.) Since this issue results in loading at less than full capacity, I have to run the dishwasher twice as much as my old one. I follow the recommended loading methods outlined in the manual, but the dishes and utensils in that area still come out filthy so I have resorted to leaving it clear. GE should have moved the locations of the inlet and dispenser on the inside of the door for this model. Poor design.

Disappointment
on February 17, 2015

Had it for a month and it is a big disappointment. It takes well over 2 hours to clean a load of dishes that could be done by hand in about 20 minutes. The detergent dispenser is a hit or miss disaster; often the soap is dried on the door and below. On two occasions the dispenser didn't open at all. I would not recommend to anyone. We have a GE service person coming to investigate..

Disappointed

I am disappointed with this dishwasher- the top whirling blade falls off easily, and the short cycle doesn't clean well at al as apparently the cycle is not long enough to be able to distribute/use the detergent.

Worst Dishwasher EVER
on March 31, 2015

I have had this dishwasher for 9 months. Overall, it does it's job which is clean the dishes. However, I find that it has design flaws. The silverware and utensil attachments that are found at the top and bottom frequently fall off. In addition, I find it time consuming and challenging to load these attachments. If you put too many knives or bulky utensils in the front, the dishwasher door will not close properly. Also, I find the area to put dishes, pots, large bowls, glasses, etc. to be a puzzle. 9 months in and I still can't figure out the best way to load. I am at the point where I may go out and buy smaller bowls and plates just so they fit better. My latest problem is that the water does not drain properly. I currently have a pool of water sitting in the bottom of the dishwasher. I also have sludge collecting on the inside as well. I owned a GE dishwasher for 10 years prior to this one and never had this problem. This one is not even a year old and is already acting up. I do not recommend this product at all.

Not happy at all!

The first time that I used it was one day after installation, it ran 4 hours and it was for a normal wash and heated dry. The dishes were not clean, soap did not completely dissolve and the dishes were not dry!

Worst dishwasher I've ever owned

Extremely poor design, particularly where utensils are concerned. If you use the center of either the upper or lower utensil baskets, either the door won't close because of the upper basket or the detergent door won't fully open (lower basket). Knives placed point down do not get clean. I've used GE dishwashers for more than 30 years, but this one is a huge disappointment.
