I've had this machine for over a year and love it. However, this week, the start button has become unreliable. The button feels like it is sticking and I now have to press it multiple times to get it to start... I Now have to call a repair tech to come out to look at it before the button completely fails. This is a huge disappointment since I paid a premium price for this machine. I am hopeful that someone from GE can help me... I understand that it's now out of warranty, however, this machine sd last longer than a couple of years. My last GE ran for nearly 10 years and I would kept it had it not been recalled...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We just built a new house and chose the entire GE Profile line for our kitchen, including this dishwasher. The dishwasher is very quiet, I will admit that. But that's about the only positive I can give it. First off, it rarely dries the dishes. Even if we turn the "Power Dry" setting On, the dishes still come out wet. Secondly, the dishwasher ALWAYS smells awful. We don't put dishes in dishwasher with large food stuck to them. I've tried cleaning it out, but it just smells awful. I guess the soap dispenser doesn't always open, so at least once a week we open the dishwasher after a cycle is complete and see soap debris all over the interior of the door and the dishes are still dirty.
My advice, stay away!

GE profile series pdt 750 dishwaher

Very quiet. Basically can't hear it running. Most wash cycles take a long time. It does not dry worth a I can't say because it will be edited. Need to dry everything. Follow instruction and use a drying agent like jet dry and everything still has water on it or is coated in moisture. Also does not seem to drain well. Always seems to have standing water after it finishes. Had much much cheaper dishwashers do a better job drying dishes
