Piece of Junk

This piece of junk had both pumps fail in less than 2 years. The repair man told me I was better off buying a new dishwasher than repairing this piece of junk.

Brand new kitchen and a dishwasher that does not clean or dry dishes. All the hype of all the jets and there is always something dirty. I maybe could live with drying dishes when they come out if that was the only problem but dirty dishes when it takes over an hour to wash and it says drying and it DOES NOT. Paid a lot of money for this awful dishwasher. Had a 32 year old dishwasher and it cleaned better and even dried the dishes.

Saw the features on this and loved it. It's great, when it actually works. I have lost 12 days of service in the first 30 days.

Bought four GE appliances 4/2013. Dishwasher silver trim at the top the door started peeling within a few months. GE did replace the trim but the design requires the unit to be removed/pulled out from the cabinet and the doors to be taken completely off of the unit to replace this piece of trim. Just recently the trim piece that was replaced buy the GE Tech broke. This trim piece covers all of the controls for the machine so it is very possible that water will penetrate the unit and cause a short in the control board. In addition the bezel that connects the handle to the door broke in two and we have to hold the two broken parts together to open or close the door. Very unsightly and does definitely affect the operation of the unit. If I had another chance I would avoid the Profile Line of appliances completely since the trim parts are made of cheap plastic and there is no way a DIY person could replace the damaged parts. Poor design and cheap plastic parts not just on the dishwasher but on the refrigerator, stove and microwave as well.

Very Disappointed

Interior racks are cheap plastic and don't look like they will hold up. Doesn't clean dishes properly unless hot water at sink is run until max temp achieved and then must run dishwasher at Sanitary setting. This wastes water and energy as the Sanitary cycle takes several hours. Also doesn't do good job of drying as there is no heating element inside like older dishwashers had. Very dissapointed. GE repairmen called all new dishwashers junk due to the cost cutting and energy-saving requirements imposed on them

Bought it with my new house, can't keep the door closed to wash dishes. Cheap plastic bits, top rack can't handle the right of what it is supposed to hold. Don't buy it. It has one star because the system didn't allow no stars.

The dishwasher cleans well. It isn't very spacious - taller items like wooden spoons need to go on the top rack. The "drying" feature, which adds an hour on to the time (for a total of 2 1/2 hours), isn't good. I've read many reviews about this issue and read the trouble shooting tips, and the only way to get the dishes to dry, is to leave the door open for hours once the cycle is complete. It is frustrating. I never ran into this issue with dishwashers that I've owned in the past.
