Very quiet

Wow, we keep checking that it is on... We replaced an 11 year old GE Profile that just stopped opening the detergent latch. It was very loud, but cleaned dishes nicely, but I had to pre-clean items and no flexibility on stacking. The new GE is very quiet, has many more options for configurations and so many water sprays, plus the bottle wash. 3 draw backs, no steam cycle, long cycles, and no just dry cycle.

poor design

Dishwasher door is so temperamental to close it rarely lines up ( an we are extremely gentle with it ) , front stainless cover came unattached within 3 weeks and had to be repaired. Repairman fixed latch mechanism and within a week it will not close right. Seal leaks at bottom of door. The dishwasher is quiet, but model needs to be recalled and re-engineered. This door latching mechanism will never last.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

GE quality, service, and warranty are horrible

The rinse aid warning would never go off. It has been replaced twice.
The display had water inside it and it was replaced once and was damaged again during replacement.
The bottle wash rack falls off; that has been replaced too.
The dishwasher beach gasket is damaged and we are waiting for a backordered part.
The dishwasher tripped a circuit breaker for 3 weeks and counting despite repair attempts.

DON'T BUY THIS MACHINE

Have had the dishwasher since June. We are now on our 5th service call. Leak detected sensor was the first 4 service calls, never resolved. Now it runs through the wash cycle and doesn't do anything. No water in the unit at all. Called and they can come out real fast again in 3 days. All GE appliances in the house and this DW is the worst ever.

Hard to shut door/don't like where controls are.

Would never purchase this model again for several reasons. Thought it would be great for my grandkids so they couldn't mess with dials-but it has turned out to be my worst nightmare. The door is hard to shut.

Serial failures

In the past 3 years, we have had FOUR GE dishwashers: #1 (a different model) failed after 11 months (unrepairable door leaks); #2 (the first PDT750) failed after 9 months and was replaced under warranty; #3 (the second PDT750) died first at 5 months (heater failed), then again at 10 months (pump failed); #4 (yet another PDT750) will be installed next week (again, a replacement under warranty). Yes, GE customer service has been great, and yes, the features and performance are fine (when it works), but GE has failed us miserably when it comes to reliability.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very quiet, good features, intuitive controls

We just had it installed, and we already love this dish washer. It's super quiet and has very intuitive controls. The ability to wash just the top or just the bottom and the special bottle jets are a really great idea.
I would recommend this to a friend!
