First unit was a lemon. Replacement unit is great.

The detergent dispenser in our original unit was defective and wouldn't open during the wash cycle, no matter what cycle options and detergent we used. It also seemed to think the drying agent was out, although it was full. (Drying performance was substandard, compared to the 16-year old GE dishwasher we were replacing.) After 4 service calls in a 6 week period, we finally got the unit replaced. The new washer works exactly as we hoped it would -- cleaning well, drying well, and extremely quiet. My less-than-stellar rating is based upon the poor quality control for this model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love this whisper quiet dishwasher. It takes longer to do a load than my old dishwasher, but the dishes come out sparkling. I LOVE IT!

I'm loving how quiet this dishwasher is. The layout of the racks is very thoughtful and I find that the spacious interior allows me to get more dishes into each load than was possible with my previous dishwasher. Very happy with this appliance!

Good but not great

this dishwasher works fine most of the time but occasionally the soap capsule is not completely dissolved. We have found that if we are not careful about what we put on the bottom rack this happens. we have started hand washing larger items instead of ruining the whole wash run. seems like a poor design.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Quiet quiet quiet

after 3 months, I am in love. The unit is sooooo quiet. Has a great "express" mode as well when time is in a crunch. Dishes are clean without residue. Failure of the detergent to disperse or dissolve is remedied by not over-packing large items in front of the detergent dispenser. Move the larger items to the back. It even can accommodate a large electric griddle which would not fit in any dishwasher I have previously owned.

Finally one that works

We purchased this product after another company bought back our other washer essentially to cut there losses after 2 failed service calls to repair "5E" drain error. I was a lesser model, but we expected it at least to function. This washer is obviously better, quieter, and washes great. Still a problem drying plastics, but the bottle wash feature is great. Installation under granite is very challenging with only two places to attach the unit to the sides. Also very hard to position with nothing to hold onto on the front and bottom of the unit.

I wrote a review of my GE Dishwasher a couple of days ago, and I would be remiss if I did not come back and amend my earlier comments. After leaving my remarks, I read through the operation manual that was online and decided to try some of the other settings on my dishwasher. (I wasn't happy with the cleaning performance.) The last two times I ran the dishwasher, I put it to the test and used the AUTOSENSE setting, instead of NORMAL. The first time, I intentionally left a couple of dishes unscrubbed...the second time, ALL the dishes were unscrubbed, and they came out of the dishwasher spotless.
I might have figured this out sooner or later, but leaving the mediocre review probably caused me to figure things out sooner!

Clean dishes, quiet operation.

We installed this dishwasher about 3 weeks ago, and so far I am thrilled with it. It is extremely quiet, and my dishes come out perfectly clean. The controls are easy and intuitive to use. The stainless exterior blends well with my oak cabinets. It meets or exceeds my expectations.
I would recommend this to a friend!
