Door won't close or stay shut. Insulation fell off

1) Since beginning door would have intermittent issues with closing and staying shut and wash cycle engaging. Sometimes it opens up while running.
2) Sound dampner insulation from under side of the tub started falling off after 8 months of use.

Poor, When it did work

Bought 4 months ago. Had difficulty getting things dry like other reviews. Then door "wouldn't latch". Repairman fixed it, ran it three times and stopped. New control board sent, wrong one. New control board sent, wouldn't work. An entire new unit is supposedly on its way. Hoping I don't have to wash dishes by hand soon.

Newer not always better

I love that this Profile dishwasher in Slate matches my other appliances in our remodeled kitchen, but it's been a nightmare getting it to the place where it actually works. And by working I mean that it washes dishes, but to get them clean and mostly dry, I need to select a Boost Temp AND Power Dry options to assist the Normal setting. It also requires more rinse agent than my 10 year old machine it replaces. Not to mention, it took the delivery of the 3rd unit before a fully functional unit was in place.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does not get hot enough on the dry feature, thus having wet dishes and having to leave door open to air dry if you don't want to hand dry

Doesn't wash dishes well and doesn't dry them well. The edge of the handle fell off when I was wiping the finger prints off and it was a cheap plastic that cracked apart and the service company who GE sent to replace it somehow moved the dishwasher and now the door trim hits my cabinet and gets pulled off of the top. Their service dept (A & E) came back to fix this and it's still happening. I will have to take another day off or hire someone else to come fix this.

Awful dishwasher

This washer is not worth the money. It doesn't dry or clean well. four days ago, we go a message saying leak detected. Service guy the issue was fixed. Today the error message comes up again. Obviously the problem was not fixed the first. They can come out for four days. I would never recommend this product. now all it does is make this ringing noise.
