I installed the new windows 8.1 and for some reason my applications often freeze up. I have ran Norton 360 to keep my computer clean. No viruses have been found by Norton, and I'm out of ideas. If this continues I might change back to windows 7.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

New Good and Bad features

Window 8 has added new features, that are nice, such as the use of the touch screen. I think the use of the tiles could be better implemented, I would rather the charms be a part of a task-bar rather than the difficult swipe business, or at least a touch procedure, with finger or mouse-pointer. I am glad to see more options for recovery. Sorry to see the loss of Solitary and other similar games. The selling of these games, poorer ones at that, is a cheep and very disappointing shot.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
