We purchased this microwave because we have become loyal customers. Our previous microwave was a GE and it lasted more than 20 years. We have a GE refrigerator that is more than 15 years old and is still in excellent working condition. We only purchase GE brand products in our house, they have proven to be reliable.

I normally use my micro to cook boxed foods or warm up left overs. Really like the warm up feature. You are given 3 choices, 1, 2, or 3 depending on the length of time needed or what your heating up. Yes, that works really good. The popcorn feature is perfect also. Just put your bag of popcorn in the micro and press the popcorn button. Comes out perfect every time. Would recommend this model to anyone needing to use a micro and the purchase price is within reason.
