Nice features, quiet

Our last microwave lasted 10 years, but from all the reviews we've been reading, we'll be lucky to get 3 or 4 years out of any new microwave. Anyway, this one is quieter than our old one, and we like the one button start feature for 1 - 6 minute cooking. The 30 second add button is nice, too. Never had a reheat button, so am looking forward to using it.
One point about the dimensions: The listed depth is 17", but that doesn't take into account the bulge-out from the back (similar to the way an old CRT TV bulges out in back). That adds another 3-4" to the depth, so if you have a tight space, take that into account. Our shallow countertop almost couldn't accommodate it.
One other thing about the design. It really is pretty plain looking. I guess we will learn to love it. There were no other stainless steel microwaves in the size range we were looking for that had sensor cooking features, overall good reviews, and width dimensions less than 22".

Reliable but noisy

I had this product for several years and it worked just fine. The downside is that it is really noisy when it runs. More than any other microwave I have owned in the past; enough to be a problem in the early morning by disturbing others in the household. I would not buy this model again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So far a great all around machine

I've owned this model for 30 days. Looks great, very sleek. Much faster than the old 1200 watt GE it replaced and quiet as a church mouse. The interior light is not as bright as I am accustomed to, but that is no problem.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a new microwave as I "cooked out" my last one from daily use. We searched and searched and came across this microwave. I wanted one to match the rest of the appliances and that would last. This microwave made the grade and looks beautiful in my kitchen and is functional and does everything that I need it to do. My favorite thing is popcorn (in a microwave popcorn maker...not bags). Thanks, GE, for a wonderful product!

Great features, easy to read control panel

Purchased a couple of weeks ago. Love the convenience features (Popcorn, Beverage, Vegetable, Potato, Reheat). Especially love the express cook feature that allows me to just push one button for immediate start up to 6 minutes of cooking time. Purchased the stainless steel model - love the look!

Perfect Microwave

This microwave is perfect. It is very simple and has mainly basic features, but it is exactly what I needed. I have no need for the more complex microwave features, such as convection, because my stove (also GE) has all the "bells and whistles." I recommend this product without reservation.

This microwave works fine for me. I have never had a microwave that the popcorn setting works so well. The one problem I have is that my old microwave you just started entering the time and then hit start. Well this one you have to hit time start first and then enter the time and hit start. Old habits are hard to break.
My kitchen is not lighted well in the corner where I have the microwave and it is hard to read the dials as they don't have the contract to them as my old one did.
This may all sound negative, but as far as the cooking and operation it works fine and I am glad I have itl
