Nice microwave

Very quiet and great styling. The only drawback is the contrast of the touch buttons makes it difficult to read under lower lighting conditions. A backlit display would be awesome.

GE 1.6 CF MICROWAVE

Just replaced my GE 1100 Watt microwave after 5 years. Love my new 1.6 CF. Extra wattage of 1150 really makes a difference and I love all the features, i.e., add 30 sec, beverage/popcorn/reheat, etc. Also, much quieter.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have only owned my microwave oven for about a week. I purchased this product because of my positive experience with other GE products one the past 60 years.
I like the appearance and the size is ample for my needs. It's working great right now. I gave the 'features' only 3 stars because I think there should be an option to have the keyboard illuminated. Those who wish to save on energy costs could opt to switch it off.

Our old 1000W microwave started flaming so it was time for a new one. This one was a little bigger but it does a nice job. It cooks a little faster even with water. I do like that the light comes on when you open the door, which doesn't happen in some cheaper models. We have a dark kitchen and that was a necessity. I like all the buttons and the stainless finish. The directions were sparse so I can't quite figure out the reheat mode even looking inside the door. Other than that we've had it 6 weeks and are very happy!

I like that it is so quiet

I am glad that I bought this microwave. I like its features and the way it is so quiet. It is a bit large and almost didn't fit. There is probably a smaller model I could have bought. This is just what the appliance store had in stock so we went with it.
