Love this microwave!

We had to replace a 10 year microwave and this one was the same size and was relatively inexpensive. I would have given it 5 stars but it took some experimentation to figure out how the controls worked. The microwave itself is 5 star, the accompanying documentation is only 2 stars. I wonder if it was written by someone whose primary language is not English!
I would recommend this to a friend!

It works and does what we want from a microwave

The good:
- one does not need a lot of pressure to activate the buttons
- The microwave cavity is large
- Like the 30 second button
- Like having to only touch 1 - 9 to start the microwave without having to hit a start button

The bad:
- Have not found any use for the preset buttons, either overcooked items or undercooked items
- light in the microwave cavity dimmer than our previous microwave
- picks up fingerprints easily
- door does not stay open

Faith in GE!

I purchased this as a replacement. My previous GE microwave served me well for almost 14 years! I trust the GE brand. I've had no problems so far (I had NONE in 14 yrs. with my other one!) and don't expect any. The only thing I wish to mention, with my new microwave, is that I find the keypad a little more difficult to see. Otherwise, it"s great!

Do not like. I put items in to warm and when I press the 30 sec button it beeps, displays the word "food" and does not warm the item. Have to open door, close door and then re-press the 30 sec button. Very frustrating. Can you fix this problem?

I just purchased this microwave to replace an identical GE sensor I purchased in 2013. worked perfectly for 14 years. I will stay with lasting products like this.

This was a replacement for an earlier GE model that I had. I liked the old one better, although the new one has more convenient preset controls for various types of food. Overall I am happy with my purchase.
