Clean, Tidy, Easy to Use

After much research, we purchased this microwave oven. The panel options are easy to understand (and for those of us over a certain age) easy to read. We often use the warm-up feature. It's very simple to simply hit the '1' key to heat food for a minute. We love it.

Very user friendly

Our 35 year old "stone age microwave" finally quit working, and we needed a new one. After extensive research, we went with this one. We were concerned about figuring out how to use a new one, as our old one was very simple to use. You turned the timer to desired amount, and pushed the start button. We are pleasantly surprised at how easy this GE is to use. And we really like the "sensor" feature. We tested it with a potato. Put it in the oven, push "potato", and it cooks it until done, no guessing how long to set timer. Too many other features we like to mention here.We are very happy with our purchase.

Heats food uniformally

Happy with the overall performance of this microwave. Wish on the sensor reheat options, when u push 1-3, it would indicate the item, to be Reheated? Says to look at owners manual, which is a 3 page pamphlet & doesn't contain the items to be associated with the sensor reheat either. Says, need to order the Full manual.

Easy-to-use control panel

The one-touch operation of the control panel is the easiest I have ever used. Would rate 5 stars, but the metal top right over the control panel gets hot after about 3 minutes of operation. Don't think this is dangerous, but I don't place anything on that area. Not a fan of stainless steel, but can live with appearance for great performance/price.

Not working after 2 months

I bought this microwave from online store and it was not working after 2 months. The microwave can be started but the food/drink was not heated at all. It was also making noisy sound. Features are average.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Purchased and used first time. Awful noise with turntable. Returned for exchange. Will give it a try. Worry that it could be a manufacturing issue. Will have to see.

OUR OLD APPLIANCE WAS THIRTY FIVE YEARS OLD SO WHEN IT DIED WE REALLY MISSED NOT HAVEING A REPLACEMENT. THIS GE MICROWAVE FIT THE BILL JUST PERFECT!
