Good Product, poor wi-fi
on September 17, 2014

I like the functionality of this device. The processor is good and the utility is good. Where it is sorely lacking is in the strength of the WI-fi. A laptop is tied to the internet in every way and when you can't get a good connection unless you are in the same room, there is a major flaw. I have also had a lot of trouble with the sensor in the headphone plug. It has failed once and still has trouble detecting when headphones are plugged in and when they are not plugged in. I think with so many laptops coming out with similar functionality now days, the lack of wi-fi strength means you really MUST consider other options before buying this one.

Great Product

Overall I am beyond pleased with my Lenovo Yoga 2. It has great battery life, great responsiveness, a crisp screen, and a perfect size.
There are only two minor things I wish I could improve about my computer.
1) I wish there was a third usb port. It would make life much easier when toggling between the array of accessories I would like to use all at once for the sake of convenience.
2) The keyboard is back lit, but the back lighting only ever turns on when I first turn on the computer. It would be nice if it actually came on when I was using the computer in the dark as I often have to.
Otherwise, could not be happier with this product.

Better than a Mac

The finishes on this product are great. Everything has a quality feel to it. I love how light and thin it is and the fact that you can infinitely adjust the screen angle 360 degrees. In my opinion, this solution to the laptop/tablet combo is the best solution available. It makes using the Yoga 2 very comfortable in whatever state of recline you want to be in - from sitting upright to a partial recline to laying in bed. While the touch screen is a little sensitive and Windows 8 a little quirky, the system is lightning fast and the touch screen is great for surfing the web and working through email.
Great job Lenovo - keep up the good work!

Stand up value!

After owning a ThinkPad Twist and finding it just a tad too bulky and the screen resolution too small to fit the bill of all in one (tablet/laptop), I liked the more simple clamshell idea and super high resolution of the Yoga 2 pro. The clamshell does work, though the device is a tad big for an everday tablet. Resolution is awesome, but it also means some squinting or adjustment to fonts, etc. I am not sold on the Veriface login, but it is a nice feature, along with access to many ThinkPad applications. It is more sturdy than it appears, and it's plenty powerful for any needs. To boot, battery life is absolutely superb for a device so powerful.

I got mine on Tuesday this week and so far loving it. It is light in weight, brighter screen, thinner than older version. Smooth keyboard backlit too. Lenovo is on the top of my list. I do not want to see any other brand but Lenovo. I cant wait for their Think Pad Yoga. Good luck and hope you will like this machine too.
Pros: Input/Output compatibility, Weight, Warranty, Processor, Included software, Durability, Software compatibility, Memory, Bluetooth, Keyboard/peripherals, Screen size, Build Quality, Storage, Display resolution, Display performance

Still have not fixed all the flaws!

Only one usb 3.0 port should have minium of two . No push to connect for tv. Not wirless AC. No wired Ethernet port. No real camerera should have front and back camera 8 mega pixel or higher. Major issue in tablet mode it does not act like true tablet it does not have tilt accelerometer to play games and other apps like temple run you cannot tilt left or right in tablet mode. What every tablet and laptop is missing a GPS. It should have more powerful I-7 U chip like 4650u that has 5000 graphics.
Pros: Weight, Bluetooth, Keyboard/peripherals, Storage, Display resolution
Cons: Video card, Wireless card, Memory, Support, Input/Output compatibility, Battery, Included Software, Processor, Build Quality
